Town’s Bonmarché store is set to survive

BOSTON’S Bonmarché store is to stay open – despite the company announcing it will close 160 of its stores nationwide.

The over-50s clothes store, owned by the Peacocks Group – which went into administration last month – is one of about 230 to remain open under new owners Sun European Partners.

Staff at the Boston store, in Pescod Square, say they are ‘thrilled’ with the news their store will remain open and thanked their customers for their support.

Jobs are still at risk at Boston’s Peacocks store while the company tries to find a buyer.
