Trustees resign from leisure centre roles

THE trustees in charge of Boston’s Princess Royal Sports Arena all resigned their roles last week.

As previously announced in The Standard, the team of trustees which runs the Great Fend Road venue for the Boston Sports Initiative resigned at the annual general meeting on Thursday.

At the meeting Janet Inman, Dave Carter and Paul Julian were then elected to continue as trustees.

A spokesman for Boston Borough Council said: “Boston Borough Council would like to thank the retiring trustees and thank them for all the time they have spent on the PRSA over the years.

“They leave the PRSA in a good position for the new board to move forward.”

The centre has had a troubled past, with issues over funding and a fall out with Boston and District Athletic Club.
