A BUSY bridge in Boston has been closed after a hole was found.
St Botolph’s footbridge, over the river Witham from near the former Kwik Save store and Police Station going into the town centre, was closed by Lincolnshire County Council engineers on Wednesday.
A spokesman from Boston Borough Council said: “The damage was not structural, but it was decided to close the bridge until the hole had been plugged.
“It is anticipated the bridge will be open again for the weekend.”
A pedestrian diversion has been signed over the town bridge near the White Hart while the works take place.
