Car hits road sign on Boston roundabout

RESIDENTS reported hearing a loud bang just before midnight last night (Wednesday) after a car collided with a road sign at one of Boston’s busiest roundabouts.

Police said the driver, a 47-year-old local man, ‘lost control’ of his blue Vauxhall Astra and hit the sign on the central reservation at the junction from Liquorpond Street to Spalding Road.

One of the car’s wheels came off with the impact and the road sign was bent.

No injuries were reported and there were no other vehicles involved.
