The company which manages the Old Rectory Care Home, where an elderly resident was found dead in the early hours of Saturday morning, have offered their ‘sincere condolences’ and thanked those who helped during the incident.
James Wood, managing director of Primelife, said: “Whilst it would be wholly inappropriate to comment further on this matter I would like to place on record our sincere condolences to all of those affected by this as yet, unexplained death, and would like to place on record our sincere thanks to all of the first responders who attended the site to support our staff and clients.
“The ongoing safety and care of our clients is our utmost priority and we have taken all relevant steps to ensure this has continued throughout this difficult time, and would like to thank all of our dedicated staff who should be commended for the care and support they have offered to all involved with the home over the last few days.”
He said Primelife had ‘ensured additional resources had been provided throughout’ and said the company would continue to work with police, and all other relevant authorities, ‘in order to determine the exact cause of this tragic and untimely death’.
Lincolnshire Police have confirmed the cause of death was most likely the result of a fall.
The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Old Rectory Residential Home.
Formal identification procedures have not yet been completed so the woman has not been named at this time.
