Christmas cheer for young patients

Toys have been donated to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital as part of a festive campaign.

Heather Nicholls, 35, from Skegness, set up a toy bank in the resort after she heard through friends who work in the care sector that many children would not have a present to open on Christmas Day.

Among the causes to benefit has been the children’s ward at Pilgrim Hospital.

Margaret Goodley, ward sister, thanked Helen (pictured third from left) and all those who supported the scheme, adding: “Being in hospital at any time is stressful for children, but especially over Christmas, so to receive an extra present is wonderful for them.”
