A COLLISION involving a parked car meant Boston’s Spilsby Road was closed for almost two hours on Monday afternoon.

A 72-year-old man and his female passengers were taken to Pilgrim Hospial following the collision.

The blue Ford Mondeo they were in was involved in an accident with a parked red Vauxhall Corsa, which in turn shunted a Citroen Picasso.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm and emergency services closed off Spilsby Road from the roundabout with John Adams Way to a point just past Holy Trinity Church.

The roof of the Mondeo was removed when the older of the female passengers, a 74-year-old, complained of neck pains.

The family, from Moulton Seas End, were released from hospital without serious injuries.

The road reopened at around 6.20pm.
