Dealing with the trouble-makers to keep the festive revellers safe

Police are working on plans to ensure a safer Boston for festive revellers in the run-up to Christmas.

A multi-agency ‘Safer Zone’ event will take place on Saturday, December 8, to focus on promoting public safety, and dealing with potential trouble-makers and drug-users.

The mobile police station will be parked in the Market Place from 7pm with representatives from the Community Safety Team from Boston Borough Council, street pastors and staff from Addaction.

Pete Hunn, principal community safety officer at the council, said: “We want people to have fun and enjoy the festive season but those whose behaviour negatively impacts on the enjoyment of others should be warned that anti-social behaviour and criminal activity will not be tolerated.”
