Firefighters were out in force for a big operation - but it was fundraising and not an emergency on the agenda.
Crews from Boston and Donington took part in fundraising events recently to raise cash for the Fire Fighters Charity.
In Boston’s Pescod Square, firefighters kept shoppers entertained as they bounded up and down two ladders, working towards climbing the equivalent height of Mount Everest. The 6ft ladders were climbed every 17 seconds - with the team aiming to climb nearly 9,000 metres in just over eight hours. Their efforts raised £1061.82.
Then over in Donington, the local crew there took part in a charity car wash day where they raised £365.50 for the charity’s funds.
