Work has begun at Wrangle Recreation Field to install play equipment for young children.

The project follows two-and-a-half years of work, including gathering 600 signatures
for a petition, public consultations and securing a grant for more than £67,000 from Wren.

The parish council also received £5,000 from Wrangle Consolidated Charities which will help to fund fencing around the equipment.

A £500 county councillor grant from Coun Peter Bedford helped the parish council become the third party funders for the Wren application.

The installation of the play equipment is expected to be complete this week.
