A MAN’S body has been recovered from the River Witham.
Police were called to the yacht club area of Witham Bank West in Boston shortly after 1am yesterday (Sunday) after receiving a report that a man had fallen from a boat and was missing in the water.
A police underwater search unit attended the scene and a man’s body was recovered from the river at 8.45am.
He has now been named locally as Tom Hopkins, aged 25.
The coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow (Tuesday).
Police say in the meantime, his death will be treated as unexplained.
