A BOSTON produce company has been celebrating two successes.
Brassica specialists TH Clements has been hailed Grower Of The Year at Tesco’s annual awards ceremony in London.
The award was in recognition for the commitment to the Tesco business over the past 12 months.
TH Clements was also the first in the UK in the race to get its cauliflower crop into supermarkets – a feat managed depite the wet weather in April and May.
Managing director Chris Gedney said: “We are delighted to be the first to market with the new UK crop.
“The availability has been a true testament to the work we have carried out over the past year on varietal development and harvesting techniques.”
Speaking about the award, he added: “It has been a real team effort and is something to be cherished by everyone.”
