A community group is to be set up to pursue the provision of Christmas lights for Boston town centre, say Boston Borough Council.

At meeting of Boston Town Area Committee (BTAC) on Wednesday, it was agreed that the new group should be made up of representatives from the community, the Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses.

The group should be formed by March.

BTAC has agreed to consider match funding any money raised up to the maximum of £10,000.

Representatives from the Boston More In Common Facebook group attended Wednesday’s meeting and have agreed to become involved in the group.

Those interested in taking part in this project should contact Janette Collier 01205 314227 or email: janette.collier@boston.gov.uk
