Assault charged to appear at Crown Court

THE men who were charged with assaulting a man in Kirton in the early hours of last Thursday morning will have their case heard at crown court later in the year.

Kai Williams, 18, of Edinburgh Avenue, Joshua Wong, 20, of Hardwick Estate, and a 17-year-old from Princess Road in Kirton, appeared before Skegness Magistrates Court on Friday.

Williams and Wong were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, and the 17-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and possession of a class B drug.

The two older men have been released on conditional bail until they appear at Boston Magistrates Court on September 30, where they will be committed to crown court.

East Lincolnshire Magistrates Court would not reveal any information about the younger man.
