BREAKING NEWS: Police appeal for witnesses after man’s body found in Boston alleyway

A MAN’S body was discovered in an alleyway in Boston yesterday evening. Police were called to West Street at around 5.50pm to find a man collapsed.

Officers tried to resuscitate the man but the 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Insp Rod Brant said: “At the moment we do not think it is anything suspicious but until we have the results of a post mortem examination we cannot be sure.”

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the man prior to his death.

Officers say the man, who has not yet been named, was seen ‘swaying from side to side’ as he walked.

They also said he had a head injury, but reiterated there were no suspicious circumstances believed to be involved.

The man was last seen walking along Fydell Crescent at around 5.30pm.

He had been captured on CCTV cameras.

By this morning, the man’s next of kin were yet to be told of his death.
