Burglars made a hole in the roof of Boston Snooker Centre to get inside before damaging games machines and stealing cash.

The premises in Artillery Row, Boston, was targeted at about 4.30am on Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police has said the previous day an attempt had also been made to force entry in to the Gliderdrome bingo and dance hall in Spain Place.

However, although the door was damaged, the offenders did not get inside.
