Police in their initial appeals for witnesses said the incident was being treated as a ‘sexually motivated attack’ and had left the woman ‘very distressed and shocked’.

Det Con Pete White, of Lincolnshire Police’s Emerald Team, said: “We previously released a CCTV image of a man we wanted to trace.

“That image was from a camera in H2O nightclub in the town.

“After leaving the club, the man is captured on town CCTV walking along the street and we are now releasing that moving footage in the hope that it may jog someone’s memory who was in the area at the time of the incident”.
