Lincolnshire’s Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner will officially open the new custody suite at Boston Police Station, following their £474,000 revamp.

The four-month project is the first major scheme to be finished as part of the force’s contract with G4S, with £239,000 coming from the private sector firm.

The pair, who continued their working relationship after Mr Hardwick’s decision to suspend Mr Rhodes was quashed at the high court, will cut the ribbon on Thursday, April 25.

The project saw four new cells built and the whole custody suite up to modern standards to cater for Boston and South Holland.
