Fraud

Algimantas Urbonas, 23, of Elizabeth Road, Boston. At Elizabeth Road, with intent to deceive, had possession a thing so closely resembling a licence under the Road Traffic Act 1988 as to be calculated to deceive. £400 fine, £40 victim surcharge, £85 costs, licence to be forfeited and destroyed.

David Kenneth Hewson, 48, of Willowmere Park, Hawthorn Hill, Lincoln. At Lincoln, for the purpose of obtaining the grant of a certificate of insurance or security, made a false statement in that he told the Co-operative Insurance Company that he was the holder of a full-driving licence without any medical restriction, at Friskney, drove a motor vehicle other than in accordance with a licence and without insurance. Discharged conditionally for two years, £110 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, licence endorsed with six points.

Drink-driving

Isaac James Allotey, 68, of Huntsgate, Spalding. At Boston, drove on John Adams Way, after consuming so mcuh alcohol that the proportion of it in breath equalled 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit 35). £300 fine, £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs, disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for 37 months.

Gintaras Saulevicius, 36, of Cotton Road, Boston. At Boston, drove on New Road, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath equalled 100 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit 35). £500 fine, £50 victim surcharge, £85 costs, disqualified from driving for 25 months.

Viktoras Karpuchovas, 21, of Bourne Road, Spalding. Zilvinas Karsokas, 32, of Granville Street, Boston. At Boston, drove on Lister Way after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath equalled 146 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit 35). Committed to prison for 16 weeks due to high reading, the seriousness of the crime, during a busy time and when a road traffic collision occurred, £80 victim surcharge.

Marius-Alexandru Nicola, 27, of Cygnet Court, Spalding. At Boston, drove on the A16, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in breath equalled 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath (legal limit 35). £110 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, disqualified from driving for 16 months.

Statutory

Richard Alun Tyrrell, 24, of Hardwick Estate, Kirton. Appeared before the court to make a statutory declaration following conviction for the offences of three defective tyres by Grantham Magistrates’ Court on February 3. Statutory declaration made. Original offences reopened: at Lincoln, used a vehicle on North Footy Foot Bank, when the front nearside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed, at Lincoln used on North Forty Foot Bank, when the front offside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed, at Lincoln, used a vehicle on North Forty Foot Bank when the grooves of the tread pattern of a tyre fitted to the rear nearside wheel of the vehicle were not of a depth of at least 1.6mm continuous band comprising the central three quarters of the breadth of tread and round the entire outer circumference of the tyre. £200 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Assault

Benjamin Barnes, 24, of Graveley Road, Stevenage. At Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, committed assault. Discharged conditionally for 12 months.

Richard Simon Everard, 27, of Chapel Lane, Sibsey. At Boston, committed assault by beating. Community order made to include a supervision requirement, restraining order made, £300 fine, £30 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Jack George Brookes, 20, of Donington Road, Bicker. At Spalding, committed assault occassioning actual bodily harm. Committed to prison for four months, suspended for two years, to include a supervision period of two years and 200 hours’ unpaid work, £800 compensation, £85 costs.

Failure to comply

Gintaras Domantas, 49, of Granville Street, Boston. At Boston, when suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen or specimens of breath for analysis by means of a device of a type approved by the Secretary of State persuant to section 7 of the Road Traffic Act in the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, failed without reasonable excuse to do so; at Boston, failed without reasonable excuse to surrender at Boston Magistrates’ Court or as soon after that time as was reasonable practicable, having been released on bail. Community order made to include 150 hours’ unpaid work, £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years.

Criminal damage

Jay Edward Power, 21, of Archers Lane, Sutterton. At Holbeach, without lawful excuse, damaged a window of a value unknown belonging to Holbeach Bowls Club; at Holbeach, dishonestly used without due authority a quantity of electricity; at Boston, failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Boston Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail. £100 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £50 fine.

Breach

Joyce Wilson, 67, of St Margarets Drive, Sibsey. At Frithville, without reasonable excuse did an action she was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by Skegness Magistrates’ Court. Discharged conditionally for 18 months, restraining order made, £15 victim surcharge, no order for costs.
