Here’s the latest batch of results of cases from Boston Magistrates’ Court:

TV Licence

Clive Lewsey, 62, of Risegate Road, Gosberton. Used a colour television receiver without a licence. £300 fine, £30 victim surcharge, £90 costs.

Numerous

Aleksejs Balans, 27, of Carlton Road, Boston. At Boston, not being at home had an article for use in the course of, or inconnection with burglary, namely two screwdrivers, mole grips and a torch, failed without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody. Community order made to include a drug rehabilitatin requirement and supervision requirement; screwdrivers, mole grips and torches to be forfeited and destroyed. Intentionally obstructed a constable in the exercise of his powers, stole goods to the value of £18.17 belonging to Coop. Remanded on unconditional bail until September 26 at Boston Magistrates’ Court for sentence, £18.17 compensation. At Boston stole a Toshiba combi television to the value of £249 belonging to Asda, stole Toshiba television to the value of £289 belonging to Asda. £249 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, £289 compensation. At Boston, stole two mobile phones to the value of £120 belonging to Asda.Community order made to include a drug rehabilitatin requirement and supervision requirement.

Drink-driving

Andis Apsitis, 33, of Windsor Bank, Boston. Drove on Westbridge Road, Boston, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath equalled 58 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, with intent to deceive had posession of a document so closely resembling a licence under the Road Traffic Act 1988 as to be calculated to deceive. £225 fine, £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, disqualified from driving for 15 months.

Failure to comply

Rimantas Makarevicius, 24, of Park Road, Boston. Failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Skegness Magistrates’ court by failing to attend any appointment offered, failing to maintain contact with the service and giving false address details, original offences of stealing a hoover and perfume to the value of £178.96 and posession of a small amount of diamorphine. Suspended sentence of imprisonment of 16 weeks suspended for 18 months implemented. Had posession of a quantity of heroine. Committed to prison for 1 week forthwith to run concurrent.

Janis Sedols, 27, Wormgate, Boston. Failed to comply with the requirements of a community order made by East Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court by failing to attend two days unpaid work, failing to provide an explanation and failing to maintain contact with offender manager. Order to continue.

Theft

Elio Oliveira, 41, of Broadfield Lane, Boston. At Wide Bargate, Boston, stole two legs of lamb to the value of £24.37. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, £24.37 compensation, £15 victim surcharge, £30 costs.

Zak Luciano Holland, 27, of Witham Town, Boston. At Scotgate, Stamford, stole fuel to the value of £40.02 belonging to BP Garage.£40.02 compensation, £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Brian William Cooper, 26, of Priest Lane, Willingham, Cambridge. At Pinders Drove, Wrangle, trespassed by entering or being on land at Pinders Drove, in search or pursuit of game, woodcocks, snipes or conies. £200 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £15 costs.
