Two men have been arrested this morning on suspicion of attempted diesel theft from cars.
The men, aged 24 and 27, were arrested after they were spotted by a passing police patrol.
Lincolnshire Police said the men were parked in a layby on the B1397 Boston Road at Sutterton where a piece of hose was found to be connected to the fuel tank of a second vehicle.
Items of equipment, including pumps and tanks, were seized at the scene and the two men have been taken to Boston Police Station for questioning.
Any witnesses who saw suspicious activity in that area overnight are asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 21 of November 23.
