Donington man dies in Sleaford crash

A 19-YEAR-OLD Donington man has died following a crash on the A15 near Sleaford.

The man was a passenger in a green Suzuki Swift which collided with a silver Renault Traffic van near the Tally Ho Inn at around 6.50pm yesterday (Thursday).

He was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead, police said.

A 14-year-old Spalding girl, who was also a passenger in the car was also taken to hospital. She is still being treated.

The driver of the van was in shock but was not reported to be injured.

The driver of the Suzuki - a 17-year old Boston man - was treated in hospital and later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A further suspect, a 45-year-old man from the Friskney area who was driving a Rover believed to have been at the scene at the time of the incident, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and perverting the course of justice.
