A MOTORIST who crashed into a ditch while driving was found to be over the drink-drive limit, magistrates heard last week.
Paulius Kysla, of Hide Close, Boston, was found to have an alcohol level of 96 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath when he was tested by police, the court was told. The legal limit is 35.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit when he appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Daniel Paulson, prosecuting, said police received a report at around 5.30am on July 21 saying that there was a car in the ditch on Kingsway in Boston.
Andrew Goldsborough, defending, said he had little recollection of the crash. The solicitor added: “He accepts entirely that he had too much to drink but has no recollection of how the accident happened.”
Kysla was banned from driving for a total of 26 months and ordered to pay a fine of £265. He also has to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
