Escaped prisoner sent to crown court

A prisoner at North Sea Camp is set to face a hearing at crown court later this month.

Paul Alan Norton, appeared before the district judge at Boston Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday) charged with escaping lawful custody at the Freiston Shore open prison on Monday.

He was sent to Lincoln Crown Court on July 31 and was remanded in custody because he was ‘already a serving prisoner’.

No age was given. Mr Norton did not enter a plea.
