A BOSTON man smashed a car wing mirror because of a feud, a court was told.
At the town’s magistrates on Wednesday, Thomas Neil Roberts, 22, pleaded guilty to cauising £35-worth of damage to a Ford Fiesta belonging to Paula Baxter.
Prosecutor Edward Johnson said the offence took place along the town’s Kyme Road on May 11.
“Police enquiries and CCTV footage captured the incident of a male approach the vehicle and punch the wing mirror, causing the damage,” he said.
“He was arrested and interviewed, where he said he had previously fallen out with the owner.”
In defence, Philippa Chatterton said her client caused the damage while ‘in drink to cope with the break down of a three-year-relationship.’
Unemployed Roberts, of Cotton Road, was fined £110 and ordered to pay £35 in compensation.
He must also stump up £85 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.
