The public are being warned not to take photographs when a murder trial jury visits the town today.

The jury and legal representatives in the trial of Stephen Sleaford will today examine the scene of the alleged attack on Janusz Smoderek.

Their visit will require Sleaford Road, between the Fitness First and Brothertoft Road junctions, and a small part of Carlton Road to close intermittently between 11am and 1pm.

Judge Heath has made an order under section 4 (2) of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 banning the publication of and taking of photographs of the site visit today.

Motorists have questioned why the visit needed to take place on Boston’s busy market day, with disruption due to be caused on one of the town’s busiest routes.
