MURDER UPDATE: Appeal to Polish community

DETECTIVES investigating the death of Polish national Jan Pawel Stochnialek have appealed to Boston’s Polish community for information about his activities since Christmas Eve.

Det Chief Insp Matt Hewson said he is confident that the 28-year-old was alive at around 5pm on Christmas Eve, but there is no account of his whereabouts after that.

He was found dead in the South Forty Foot Drain at Wyberton West Road on Wednesday.

Mr Hewson said: “We are happy he was alive at teatime on Christmas Eve. We would like to speak to anybody that knows of his movements after that time.”

Anyone with information contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
