CCTV images have been released of two people who are alleged to have carried out a distraction fraud at a Boston bookies.

A police spokesman confirmed the incident happened around 1.30pm on Thursday, November 20, at Ladbrokes, in the Market Place.

A man and a woman entered the shop and the woman asked the cashier to change notes into different denominations, using techniques to confuse the cashier into handing out more money than received.

The man then kept the cashier distracted while the woman left, ensuring she was gone before the cashier had the opportunity to realise what had happened.

PC James Plummer has released CCTV images of two people he would like to trace in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information should call police non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 204 of November 20 or anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
