Salon staff subjected to offensive actions by drunk man

STAFF at a town centre hairdressers were subjected to offensive actions and language by two drunk men outside the shop, a court was told last week.

Women working at Pure, in High Street, said they felt intimidated when Peter Mccudden and another man began shouting, swearing and acting inappropriately on the pavement outside the window on September 15, Boston magistrates heard.

Marie Stace, prosecuting, said when police arrived, Mccudden, of Red Lion Street, Boston, was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

The other man has not yet appeared in court.

when he stood before the bench on Wednesday, the 43-year-old pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

He was not represented by a solicitor, and told magistrates: “I would like to say I have admitted to myself I have a drink problem and I am making arrangements to get help from Addaction.”

Mccudden was fined £50 and told to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

He was not asked for costs.
