Sneak-in burglary at Ludford

A sneak in burglary occurred at a property in Ludford's Magna Mile yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, February 16).

The elderly occupants were at home at the time of the burglary and it is believed entry was gained through an unlocked door at the address at around 4pm.

A number of items of jewellery and cash were stolen from the house.

The occupants are extremely shaken by this incident.

This is the second sneak in burglary reported to police in the last few days, both of which have occurred through unlocked doors.

“Please review your security and be vigilant,” said PCSO Sally Read.

“Report any suspicious behaviour immediately.

“If you have elderly relatives, friends, neighbours that you are aware may leave their doors unlocked, please help them realise the importance of keeping their houses secure at all times, so they themselves do not become a victim of these awful burglaries.
