Suspended sentence for fight outside Boston nightclub

FIGHTING outside a Boston nightclub landed two men with an eight-week suspended sentence last Wednesday.

Craig Cunningham, 38, of Tower Road, Boston, appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court charged with possession of a controlled drug – methymethcathinone or M-Cat – and affray.

Jamie Skinner, 23, of Rosebery Avenue, Boston, appeared charged with affray.

They pleaded guilty to all charges.

The pair were arrested following incidents outside After Dark Nightclub on Craythorne Lane, Boston, and on Fountain Lane, Boston, at about 1.30am on Saturday, August 4.

Cunningham was given eight weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months and 150 hours’ unpaid work for the charge of affray. There was no separate penalty for the posession of drugs, however a destruction order was made.

Skinner was also given eight-weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay two lots of £50 compensation.

Both were also ordered to pay £85 costs.
