THREE people have been arrested following the death of a Boston man who is believed to have taken the drug MCat, police have said.
Officers attended an address in Fenside Road, Boston, at 11.50am yesterday after a 31-year-old man was taken ill.
He was pronounced dead at Pilgrim Hospital a short time later.
A 26 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supply of controlled drugs and two others, a 40-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
They were all taken to Boston Police Station for questioning.
DS Lance Morgan said, “A post mortem examination will take place to determine the cause of this man’s death but there is an indication he may have been using the drug MCat prior to being taken ill.”
He added: “This is a dangerous substance, especially if taken in combination with other controlled drugs and its use can have fatal consequences.”
