Two found guilty over cannabis haul

TWO Vietnamese men have been found guilty of being involved in the production of cannabis after they were discovered to be cultivating almost 1,500 plants in a disused hotel in Sutterton.

An Van Nguyen, 30, and Hung Quoc Tran, 21, were found with a total of 1,425 plants when police visited the Waggoners Rest, in Station Road, last Wednesday.

The pair, who had been living at the hotel, appeared before Skegness Magistrates’ Court on Friday and again on Monday. They were both found guilty and have now been committed to crown court for sentencing at a later date, which has not yet been confirmed.

Both men have remained in custody.
