THREE people have been arrested following the death of a Boston man - who is believed to have taken the drug MCat, police have said.
Officers attended an address in Fenside Road, Boston, at 11.50am on Sunday after 31-year-old Luke James Gurton was taken ill.
He was pronounced dead at Pilgrim Hospital a short time later.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the supply of controlled drugs.
Two others, a 40-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
They were all taken to Boston Police Station for questioning and have subsequently been bailed pending further enquiries.
They are due to reappear at Boston Police Station on September 15.
DS Lance Morgan said: “A post-mortem examination will take place to determine the cause of this man’s death, but there is an indication he may have been using the drug MCat prior to being taken ill.”
He added: “This is a dangerous substance, especially if taken in combination with other controlled drugs and its use can have fatal consequences.”
