A man arrested on suspicion of brandishing a firearm with ‘intent to cause fear or violence’ following a neighbour dispute has been released on police bail.

A police spokesman said he had been released until August 6, while investigations were carried out.

He was arrested following the dispute at around Midnight on Wednesday in which ‘threats to kill’ were made.

Thursday, 9.15am – A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm following a neighbour dispute in which ‘threats to kill’ were made.

The 62-year-old man was arrested after police were called to Willington Road, Kirton, at around midnight last night (Wednesday), in response to a dispute between neighbours.

A police spokesman said that due to the circumstances of the report, armed police were sent to the incident.

The man was taken to Boston Police Station and will be interviewed this morning.
