A MURDER investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing in Boston.
The body of 48-year-old Janusz Smoderek, who was living in the Revesby Avenue area of Boston, was discovered in a garden in Sleaford Road at around 7.30am on Sunday.
A post mortem examination carried out has revealed the cause of death was stabbing.
Paramedics pronounced Smoderek dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are now treating this death as a murder.
“We have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for anyone who may have seen an altercation that took place in Sleaford Road area, between the railway crossing and the junction to Carlton Road, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“This altercation may have involved a group, involving a white female and three white males. Alternatively if someone saw a white male being chased by three other white males if they could contact us in confidence.”
