Police have confirmed they are now treating the death of a man found in a Boston garden yesterday as murder.
The body of a 48-year-old man, who was living locally, was discovered in a garden of a house in Boston’s Sleaford Road at around 7.30am yesterday (Sunday).
A post mortem examination carried out has revealed the cause of death was stabbing.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are now treating this death as a murder.
“We have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for anyone who may have seen an altercation that took place in Sleaford Road area, between the railway crossing and the junction to Carlton Road, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“This altercation may have involved a group, involving a white female and three white males. Alternatively if someone saw a white male being chased by three other white males if they could contact us in confidence.”
A formal identification of the man is expected to be made later today (Monday)
