Police have confirmed nothing was found during a search of a Boston river for a ‘suspected body’,

An underwater search team was called in yesterday (Wednesday).

Wednesday: Police divers are currently searching the Maud Foster in Boston after reports of a ‘possible sighting’ of a body near the lock gates.

A team from the underwater search unit is on scene along Windsor Bank to scan the area.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “A dog walker reported a sighting to us at around 11pm last night, and said they thought it could have been a body, but were not sure.”

Police say the operation will take some time but they have no active reports of missing people and have classed it as ‘not urgent’.
