POLICE investigating a robbery that took place at the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society on Tuesday afternoon have released CCTV images of the suspect.
The business, in the Market Place, Boston, was cordoned off by police after the man entered the premises at about 3.54pm.
Police have confirmed he approached a cashier and produced a note demanding cash.
The note stated that he was in possession of a gun but no weapon was seen said police.
The man did not speak throughout the incident.
He then left the branch with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white plastic carrier bag and made off on foot into the Market place.
He has been described as being over six feet tall with dark hair.
Police have also now said he was wearing dark clothing including dark trousers and dark footwear and a brown fleecy-type jacket and a blue baseball hat with white writing on it.
He wore a silver-coloured metal ring on his left hand ring finger and was seen smoking a cigarette before committing the offence.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Anyone who was in the area between 3.30pm and 4.15pm that afternoon and who may have seen the suspect is asked to contact Boston Police Station on 0300 111 0300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
