UPDATE: Police close road to investigate assault in West Street, Boston

Police say they are investigating an assault that took place around 2.30am this morning (Sunday) in West Street, Boston.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “The victim, a 37 year-old man, was punched and suffered a head injury as he fell to the ground. He is being treated in hospital.”

West Street was closed nesar Pizza Hut, between Trinity Street and the James Street junctions, while evidence was preserved but was reopened at about 9.40am.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 62 of September 25.
