Police have confirmed today that the death of a man whose body was found at a house in Boston is being treated as murder.

The man’s body was discovered at a house in Porcher Way, Boston, shortly after 4pm on Friday.

A Home Office pathologist had carried out a post-mortem which led to the opening of a murder investigation, although formal identification is yet to take place and the man’s family are still to be informed.

Meanwhile, a 41-year-old woman has been released on police bail but a 66-year-old man is still in police custody and is expected to remain so until Monday evening after an extension was granted by Lincoln Magistrates Court this morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Diane Coulson from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, who is leading the enquiry, said; “We are appealing for anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious on Porcher Way, Boston, from 5pm on Thursday until 4pm on Friday to contact us”

SATURDAY 3.35PM: Man’s body found after ‘unexplained death’ in Boston.

Two people have been arrested after a man’s body was found at a house in Boston on Friday.

Police are treating the man’s death as “unexplained” after his body ws recovered from a house in Porcher Way, Boston, shortly after 4pm yesterday.

Both people arrested are in police custody, while neighbourhood police officers patrol the area as normal.
