A woman from Swineshead has been remanded in custody after being charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and making threats to kill.

Vicki Keal, of Drayton Road, Swineshead, was denied bail when she appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) in connection with a violent incident in Swineshead earlier this week.

She is scheduled to appear before magistrates once again via video link on Tuesday, when she will be committed to Lincoln Crown Court for trial.

The 28-year-old is alleged to have been involved in an incident at a property on Drayton Road on Monday at around 8.30pm, when police were called following a report of ongoing domestic violence.

A 46-year-old woman, who lives at the property, was found to have suffered minor injuries, but did not require hospital treatment. Keal, 28, was taken to Pilgrim Hospital and treated for head injuries. She was released into custody after initially being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but was charged with different offence.

A 21-year-old man, who police say is a family member and from Kirton, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on police bail, and will return for further questioning at a later date.
