UPDATE: Woman suffers medical episode in Endeavour Park crash

An accident on the Endeavour Park roundabout entrance to the A1121 Boardsides this morning (Thursday) saw a 75-year-old woman need medical treatment.

A police spokesman said only minor injuries were suffered during the incident, however, the woman was treated after she had a medical episode.

It is not clear whether the medical episode caused the crash or was as a result of it and crash investigators and insurance companies will be investigating.

The collision, between a lorry and the Mini being driven by the woman, took place at about 11.10am.

The road was reportedly closed until about 12.10pm.

Thursday, 11.42pm – There are reports of the road being blocked at the Endeavour Park roundabout entrance to the A1121 Boardsides after a lorry and car collided this morning (Thursday).

A police spokesman confirmed the seven-and-a-half tonne lorry and the car had collided at about 11.10am.

They said there were currently reports of minor injuries.

There were no further details at the time, however, local reports claim the road has been ‘fully blocked’ by the incident.
