An electric bike worth £800 was stolen on Saturday - just minutes after being securely parked in Boston’s Market Place.

The distinctive white Burisch Synergy GT250 road bike was taken some time between 3.30pm and 3.50pm.

It has a battery bottle attached to the frame and mudguards on the front and rear wheels.

The bike’s owner, who had only purchased it three weeks earlier, told The Standard he still has the keys and charger for it, making it ‘virtually unusable’ as an electric bike for whoever took it.

Anyone with information about the theft or the bike’s whereabouts is asked to contact Boston Police Station by dialling 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
