VIDEO: Elderly man in ‘critical but stable’ condition after bus station assault

5pm: POLICE say that the victim of an assault at Boston Bus Station in the early of this morning is in a ‘critical but stable’ condition in hospital.

The 72-year-old man is being treated at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital.

10.30am: Forensic police officers are carrying out an investigation at Boston Bus Station after a 72-year-old man was assaulted in the early hours of this morning.

This video footage shows the officers carrying out their work at the site, which is still cordoned off.

9.30am: A 72-year-old man is in a serious condition in Boston Pilgrim Hospital with head injuries after being assaulted in the early hours of this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the bus station at St Georges Road at 1.09am today following an assault.

A 38-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and was taken to Boston Police Station for interview.

Police have cordoned off the area while officers conduct inquiries.

The force wants anyone in the area last night who may have seen anything to call them on 101 quoting incident 15 of May 11.
