A MAN was assaulted along York Street last night.

The 33-year-old was left with a bleeding nose after being attacked by two other men at around 9.55pm.

The incident occurred minutes after Boston United’s 3-0 FA Youth Cup victory over Pinxton, although the incident did not take place inside the Jakemans Stadium and the assault is not believed to be linked with the match.

Last night, Boston United press officer Craig Singleton wrote on Twitter: “Unsavory (sic) incident on York Street in last hour. Local man assaulted.”

The victim was unable to provide descriptions of the offenders, other than to say one was wearing dark clothing and the other light clothing.

A police spokesperson said: “No suspects were traced at the time and there have been no arrests.” Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Pc Dalton at Boston Police Station on 0300 111 0300, quoting incident 492 of October 5.
