COMMITMENT was the snip which put hairdreser Callum Chapman a cut above the rest to earn the title of Apprentice of the Year in the Lincolnshire and Rutland Skills Awards.
The 17-year-old advanced hairdressing apprentice, who has been studying at Boston College since September 2010, is dedicated to both his course and the salon where he works – Get A Head, in Donington.
Clare Richards, of the hairdressing apprentice team, said she nominated Callum as she thought he was a great role model to boys looking to get into the hairdressing industry.
He hopes to continue progressing in the job by applying for the next stage in training. He hopes that one day he will be able to work for a large chain of city salons.
