Cyclist injured after losing control of bike

A road had to be closed this morning after a cyclist came off his bike and suffered a head injury.

A police spokesman said the incident happened at 9.40am, when the 61-year-old man, from Boston, lost control of his bike on the Brothertoft Road junction with Sleaford Road..

He was taken to hospital with a head injury.

Brothertoft Road was closed until 10.15am to allow the ambulance service to deal with the man and for the road to be cleared.
