Children’s author Edward Trayer paid a visit to Wrangle primary school to sign books and speak to children about his experiences as a writer.

Mr Trayer, who writes as Billy Bob Buttons, also lead discussions on how to write adventures.

The school said the children were ‘really excited’ to hear from a real author as they have been focusing on reading this term and using books as a starting point for all their work.

Head teacher Caroline Lister said: “He described how he needed to do lots of planning so that he knew exactly where his stories were going to lead - and got excited himself as he was writing each page, imagining being part of the story.”
