Haven High Academy’s executive head teacher Adrian Reed praised his students and staff for their achievements with the school’s first ever set of A-level and Level Three course results.

A total of 63 per cent of students achieved at least two of the A*-B grades.

Mr Reed said: I not only congratulate but thank our first cohort of sixth form students for being the academy’s trailblazers and setting the bar so high.

“This is a wonderful foundation stone for the huge numbers of students joining our sixth form this September and an example for them to emulate.”

He said all students who were moving on to university in Septermber had achieved the grades they needed with others looking to move onto apprenticeships, employment or gap year.
